Shenzhen Low Carbon City

The Eco_Core is the heart of the plan for the residents of the Low Carbon Demonstration Zone as well for the natural wildlife to create an unique ecology, combined with recreational functions. OPEN_SPACE_NETWORK The Eco_Core diverges into a landscape zoning model with four parts: 1 green city axes 2 pocket parks and urban plazas 3 neighborhood and industry parks 4 landscape streets The landscape zoning model divides the building parcels. It creates urban and green fronts. MOUNTAIN_PARK_CONNECTION On a bigger scale the Open_Space_Network reconnects the big green system; ‘the mountain’ in the north and ‘the park’ in the east with natural and urban functions. It provides a new linkage to the river and the Eco_Core area to ensure connectivity for the inhabitants. It is a new stepping stone between the mountain and the park.
