Design Concept

In response to Nongfu Spring's brand concept of "Natural & Healthy", the design draws inspiration from the purity of its water, the natural texture, its bamboo groves and the colors of the splendid Huangshan. The facade voices through the element of "Bamboo" by applying structurally optimized green aluminum modules. In areas with closer human interaction cylindrical tubes deepen that natural play to a "Bamboo Grove" as it is hidden within the mountains, blending seamlessly with the natural scenery of Huangshan in harmony.

While strictly meeting the process requirements, OBERMEYER safeguards a natural dignity within industrial buildings and maintains the overall integrity of the complex factory design.

 

Background

Nongfu Spring Huangshan Beverage Production Base Construction Project is located in Huangshan City, Anhui Province. The main facilities include a Production Plant with Office & Warehouse, a unique Visitor Reception Center and other ancillary buildings. Upon completion, it will define the state-of-the-art for modern bottled drinking water and beverage production plants.

 

Highlight

Near the famous scenic area of Huangshan, the architectural concept integrates seamlessly with the surrounding scenic environment. However, the irregular site conditions posed challenges for smart land utilization. OBERMEYER addressed this by incorporating a step-shaped layout towards the riverbank side. That way, by enhancing the architectural riverfront the optimized space-usage fitted self-assured in. Of course, that measure meets the logistics and transportation demands of the plant, as well as greatly increased the capacity for the manufacturing area.
