OBERMEYER was invited to give a speech at the “Academic Forum on Marine City Planning”

OBERMEYER was invited to participate in this academic forum and contribute from its international experiences and shared OBERMEYER's design practices in Europe.

Background 

On December 9th, the Academic Forum on Marine City Planning was successfully held in the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning. This forum is guided by the Shenzhen Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, hosted by the Shenzhen Contemporary Art and Urban Planning Museum, and has received strong support from the China Urban Planning Association, Hong Kong Urban Design Society, Guangzhou Urban Planning Association, Zhuhai Planning exploration and design industry Association, Shenzhen Urban Planning Association, Dongguan Land and Space Planning Association.

 

OBERMEYER, as one of the leading design consulting companies in Germany, was invited to participate in this academic forum and contribute from its international experiences. Zhang Liuxu, the Urban Design Director of OBERMEYER China, shared OBERMEYER's design practices in Europe, including:

 

 

Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link

The Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link, the largest infrastructure project in Europe, which connects Germany and Denmark and serves as a milestone project for rapid connection in Central Europe, Northern Europe, and the Baltic Sea region, as well as a green corridor and a symbol of the cohesion of the European Union.

 

Hamburg Hafen City

The transformation and development process of the Hafen City of Hamburg, Germany's largest port, including how to improve the connection between new and old urban areas, promote low-carbon transportation networks, and underground space development to support the sustainable development of the port city.

 

The forum brought together the world’s top design teams, international planning and architectural masters, city managers in the GBA and other prominent guests to exchange excellent practices and research results of international marine city construction. Participants will jointly explore how to build an internationally competitive ocean city and promote the prosperous development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
