Wuxi Lingshan Bay, the Innovation City
Recently, the experts meeting was held in Wuxi for the evaluation of the Urban Planning and Design of “Three Bays Areas” of Wuxi. The jury panel was teamed up with 7 experts leading by Li Xiaojiang, Chinese National Survey Master and former Dean of Chinese Urban Planning and Research Institute. The Jury carefully assessed all the designs thoroughly, and then discussed with a final selection. As a result, OBERMEYER, THUPDI and Deloitte consortium came as the winner for Lingshan Bay, the Innovation City.
OBERMEYER Consortium takes the setup of practical base in the Yangtze Delta Innovation Community as the major positioning, structured a spatial layout of “One Axis, Three Cores, Dual Rings and Multiple Nodes”, more specific, these consist of the Shanshui Landscape Axis along Guzhu Road (One Axis); the Comprehensive Service Core in Guzhu Bay, the Vacation Resort Core in Nianhua Bay, the Multicultural Co-ordination Core in the Innovation Bay (Three Cores); Science and Technology Ring, Biological Recreation Ring (Dual Rings); and sports parks, national parks, vacation resorts communities etc. (Multiple Nodes). All these are making contributions together to achieving a pioneering place around Taihu Lake, becoming the origin of inspirations, the destination of innovation, the co-living wonderland for all.
